19 Weeks

Only 21 to go!

Size: The baby is the size of a large heirloom tomato. I know, that's a strange comparison and a little hard to picture, but maybe the picture will help a little! Easton is about 8 and a half ounces and measures six inches head to bottom.

New developments: The hair on his head is sprouting (blonde if we had to guess)! He can also hear our voice, and likely the yapping dogs in our house! Hopefully he is getting used to that!! His sensory development is exploding as well.

Clothes: I wore my maternity jeans for the first time this weekend. I don't think I'll be wearing my regular jeans any more. The maternity jeans felt so good on, and my regulars are way too tight and uncomfortable!

Baby clothes: Yes...that's right...baby clothes already. Let's just say my mom and I have already been stocking the closet with some adorable outfits. She's never gotten to buy for a little boy before!

Me: Tired and hungry pretty much sums it up, especially since I've been working long hours. They make fun of me for taking a big bag of snacks to work and as soon as I get home, we eat dinner and go to bed! I need my sleep!

Fun With Family

We got to visit with Daniel's mom and stepdad today. They traveled up from Florida to visit all the brothers. We were so glad to see them since we had not seen them since his brother's wedding in March. We had fun checking out his brother's new house with them, eating Mexican, and hanging out at our house.

Daniel's mom was so excited to see the nursery. She brought a quilt that his great-grandmother made Daniel when he was a baby. She had also sent a sweet blanket with Easton's name on it this week. Isn't it adorable!

We are so excited to have David and Kelley living just five minutes away now. I think the doggies are too! We have missed having them close by!

18 Weeks Down!

I am 18 weeks along this week. I had my fourth doctor appointment on Thursday.

Weight: I have gained a total of 8 pounds during the pregnancy. I have to say it feels pretty weird since I've weighed about the same for so long!

Appetite: I still love me some chips and salsa! I've also determined PB&Js no longer cut it for lunch. I eat all day long!

Baby heartbeat: In the 140s...just perfect! This is my favorite part of the regular visits. It is so neat hearing that little baby inside me.

Movement: I still haven't felt little Easton move, but the doctor said I probably will soon. Daniel and I are anxious for him to start moving. We try to feel him occasionally but haven't had luck yet!

I am getting really excited about our 20 week ultrasound! Just two more weeks. It has been a while since I saw the baby. When we got the ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby, I didn't look at the screen since Daniel wasn't with me. It will be exciting to see how Easton has formed in these quick 4 months!

Week 17!

I am now 17 weeks along! Can't believe the half way mark is so close!

Gender: It's a boy!

Name: Easton Daniel Roberts

Size: About five inches long, the size of your open hand

This week: we had our gender reveal Sunday night and everyone now knows we are having a boy and his sweet name

Next week: We have our fourth doctor appointment

Clothes: Rocking the belly band about every day. Finally went and bought some maternity clothes over the weekend. Got some jeans, a dress, a top, and a swim suit so I will be ready as soon as the warm weather is here!

Weight: Not sure but at my last appointment I had gained six pounds. I'd say I'm probably up to ten by now.

Nursery: So glad we don't have to paint it since that room was already a light Blue/gray color. We have the furniture, so next step is picking out bedding!

GENDER REVEAL!

As you know, we found out on January 8th what we were having. Daniel and I were having a hard time keeping it a secret, and my family and friends could not stand that they didn't know! Busyness was getting the best of us, and we could not find a date when all our family could come, much less that I would have time to plan.

My mom texted me Saturday morning and asked if we could do it Sunday night (yes...that is one day notice!). I thought about it and asked if my sisters could come and we decided we would! Daniel thought I was a little crazy and I don't think he was too hip on the idea, but it turned out perfect!

I immediately sent out texts inviting our closest friends and family in town. I know...not as cute as the invitations I had planned on sending, but cheaper and quicker! Most everyone was on board, they all wanted to know!

We had the party Sunday evening. Guests were welcomed at the road with the cute balloons we found. I added a cute little chick to the door. The theme for the night was "Waddle It Be?" with lots of ducks and yellow. It turned out so cute!

The mantle had this cute "Waddle It Be" sign made by Sarah Trippe. She did such a great job!

We had a little table where guests could sign a picture book for the baby. Also, they were supposed to wear a sticker with their guess. I would say the vote leaned more to the boy side!

The adorable cake made by Sarah Trippe. Not to mention she had a one day notice! It tasted even better than it looks!
Guests wore the color that they guessed the baby would be.

 IT'S A BOY!!

We also announced that we will be naming him
Easton Daniel Roberts

I am so glad that we can now refer to the baby as a "he!" And that he has a name!
We can not wait for him to be here!

The party was so much fun, and I'm very glad we had it. Thank you to my parents for helping me throw it together in a day and to everyone who came! We have lots of memories, and I'm sure Easton will love reading your notes to him in his book one day!

Belly Pictures

I have been way behind on the belly pictures, so here are weeks 14, 15, and 16! Just wait til you see 17! My belly is really growing now!

Brannan and Tara's Wedding

On Saturday we got to attend the wedding of one of my childhood friends. Brannan and I grew up together and our moms are good friends. I enjoyed seeing people I grew up with and had not seen since graduation. The wedding was beautiful. They could not have asked for better weather. It felt like a spring day! I pray that Brannan and Tara will have a blessed and Christ-filled mariage.

I forgot to mention that the wedding will be on "Say Yes to the Dress" this Spring. Tara got filmed getting her dress and they will show a clip from the wedding on the show. It seemed like there were paparazzi, there were so many photographers everywhere! I had a hard time getting a good picture.

We enjoyed spending more time with good friends - Amber and Andrew.

Aunt and Uncle Again!

Last Thursday, January 10th, Daniel and I became Uncle and Aunt for the tenth time! Nathan and Erin welcomed Elijah Slade Roberts into the family Thursday morning. He weighed 8 lbs and was 20 oz long. He has three brothers and one sister, who are all very excited to have a new baby brother! We love all of our nieces and nephews, and can't wait to add another cousin to the mix!

We got to go see Elijah and visit with Nathan and Erin at the hospital on Friday night. We took pizza and enjoyed seeing our new nephew and spending time with them.

16 WEEKS!

It's hard to believe Baby Roberts is already 16 weeks old! Before we know it, we will be to the half-way point! The baby is the size of an avocado this week!
GENDER:
The exciting part of this week is that Daniel and I found out what we are having! Don't worry...you didn't miss anything. We have not told anyone yet, and are still trying to work out the details for the big reveal! We will not have the ultrasound at the doctor until February 6th which will be at 20 weeks. That seemed like forever from now, but I didn't want to pay extra to find out just a few weeks before. I was thrilled to find out that my mom's cousin's wife wanted to do one for us. She does ultrasounds at an imaging place very close to my work. She had an opening yesterday, and I went over there real quick. I didn't want to find out without Daniel though, so she wrote it down and sealed it in an envelope for us. As soon as I got home, we opened it. We are both very excited! It made it seem even more real now that we can call it a he/she (when we are alone, of course!). It has been so funny to hear our family and friends trying to get it out of us. My family doesn't think the secret will last long. I don't want to have to keep the secret for long, so hopefully we will do the reveal very soon! Boy or girl? What do you think??

Tomorrow, we will welcome another nephew into the world. Can't wait to see that precious baby. We are so excited for Nathan & Erin and Jake, Bailey, Luke, and Abraham. Praying for a good delivery and a healthy baby!

For some odd reason, my computer will not let me upload pictures, so I will upload the belly pics later!
